Hello, 

My name is Bonnita and I am a Sussex artist, based in Brighton, creating exquisite works of the majestic South Downs.

Since my early teens, I have been drawn to nature, and my passion then as it is now, is to be out and about exploring, sketching and painting the great outdoors.  It is hugely exciting to be 'on the spot' capturing the ever changing scenes, moods and seasons of the iconic South Downs, and later work this into more detailed studio works. 

So many of you told me how much this landscape means to you when you visited my Brighton Open House in May. Thank you for all the great conversations, I learnt new things about this chalkland area, have fresh views and walks to discover and new wildflowers to look out for along the way, thanks to your tips. 

I have been particularly busy this summer, sketching and painting on the hills including Devils Dyke and Ditchling Beacon, as they are on my backdoor, and this along with my studio work is helping me shape what is looking to be an exciting new collection of works.
